The ascetics and seers from across the country gathered at Saptarishi Ashram to pay homage to the Indian educationist Goswami Ganesh Dutt on his 60th death anniversary.
The propagator of Sanatan Dharma, Ganesh Dutt was an Indian administrator who did much to improve education and health service in pre-Independent India especially in the region of Bihar.Mahamandaleshwar Premanand said, “Ganesh Dutt was the lone disciple of Madan Mohan Malaviya who was given Mantra Deeksha (initiation) by Bharat Ratna Madan Mohan Malaviya himself. He was the harbinger of Sanatan Dharma in the whole of country and abroad. His values of education are still contemporary and benchmarks for the present generation.” Noted classical dancer Rashmi Payal presented Kathak dance and artists performed on devotional songs of lord Krishna.Deshbandhu, Mahant Jamnanand and others deliberated on the life and teachings of the personality.
Mahant Mohan Dass Ramayani, K K Agarwal, Sudhir Gupta and Baba Kamaldas were also present.
Recitations were chanted from Bhagwad Geeta and the people from the city paid tributes to the departed leader on the samadhi of Ganesh Dutt.
