Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath interacted with the parents of children who underwent Cochlear implant surgery at state-run hospitals and stressed that the government had changed the lives of not only the patients but also their parents.
The interaction was organised on the birth anniversary of Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya at the Chief Minister’s 5, Kalidas Marg official residence in Lucknow.
“I am happy to have interacted with these families on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, who always fought for the right of the poor and the downtrodden. Our government is also working on the path shown by him,” Yogi Adityanath said.
The Chief Minister said that his government was ready to help the poor and had started many schemes for them.
“The sad part is that people do not know about the government schemes. One of these schemes is free Cochlear implant surgery carried out in state-run hospitals,” he said.
Yogi said that the government paid around Rs 6 lakh for each of this surgery which was most beneficial if carried out in the age group of 3 to 7 years.
“Not only this, the government has many schemes for the handicapped. Their pension money has been raised from Rs 300 per month to Rs 500 per month. At present over 10 lakh beneficiaries are getting this pension. The government has also allowed free bus travel for the handicapped in state buses,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party leaders celebrated the birth anniversary of Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya by garlanding his statue and taking a pledge to follow the path shown by him.
