Govt transformed fate of citizens in 4 yrs: CM

Extending his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ensuring holistic development, Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Sunday said that huge progress have been made on several fronts during the regime of the BJP-led alliance in Jharkhand. On the occasion, he went on rapping the political instability prevailing in the State previously which brought bad name to the State.

Speaking during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programme organised at Hazaribagh the CM counted on the steps taken by his Government and their outcomes. 

“Several developmental activities have been carried out in the State in the past four years under the guidance of the Prime Minister.

The State which earlier deprived of development is now leading today on several fronts. From introducing social welfare schemes to suppressing naxalism, the State Government has adopted several measures to bring prosperity in the lives of people especially those residing in the remote areas,” said the CM.

The CM on the occasion assured that all developmental projects will be completed on or before the deadlines. “Attempts are being made to start the courses at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) – Deoghar from this academic session. Medical colleges at Chaibasa, Koderma will be made operational from June 2019.”

Working towards facilitating better services at Government schools, the State Government has introduced ‘gift milk’ at a few selected districts. “Several measures are being taken up to counter malnutrition – one of the prime causes of death among the children here. In the first phase, over one lakh kids will be covered under the gift milk scheme -- Kanha Milk. The project has been introduced in six districts. Under this scheme 200 ml tetra packed milk is distributed among each student per day.”

Further, following the targets of an affordable housing scheme – Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), the CM said, “By 2022 under ‘New India’ vision, all poor citizens here in Jharkhand will get affordable houses. By far, 5.26 lakh poor beneficiaries residing in rural belts across the State have got the houses under PMAY- Gramin scheme. Over 3.25 houses have been sanctioned more and will be constructed in the given timeframe.”

Sharing the details of other major schemes, the CM said, “The mega health scheme – Ayushmaan Bharat launched from Jharkhand in September 2018 has covered more than 30,000 beneficiaries in the State till date. Similarly, CM Sukanya Yojana meant to curb the menace of child marriage from Jharkhand intends to cover 27 lakh beneficiaries.

Besides, the State Government has drafted a consolidated proposal to uplift the lives of those falling in Primitive Tribe Groups (PTGs) through linking them with several projects.”
