A group painting exhibition ‘De Novo’ will be organised from Monday at Alliance Francaise de Bhopal.

De Novo is Latin expression meaning “to renew”.

The way an artist always stays excited to give his art an all new direction, same way artists of this group, ‘De Novo” are giving fresh thoughts and ideas an all new platform by organizing various exhibitions.

De Novo group was established on 15 Feb 2015 in Museum and Art gallery, Department of Fine Arts, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra by master pillars Kunal Soni (Vikram), Shashi Kumar, Arvind Sharma, Rupesh Bhatia and Sudip Verma.

They have successfully organised the 9th national and international exhibition in Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Bihar.

The artists who will participate in the group exhibition includes Kunal Soni (Vikram). Kunal is a graphic designer, illustrator and photographer and comes from Haryana. Shashi Kumar is well known for Print Making and had received his 1st Prize in national level Pot Painting Competition at NIT in Kurukshetra, Haryana and had many awards thereafter.

Arvind Sharma is a recipient of multiple awards and has exhibited his work nationally and internationally at places such as Greece, China, Russia and Romania.

Rupesh Bhatia has obtained Fine Arts degree from Kurukshetra and is also involved in teaching arts to school students. Bikash Ch. Senapati specialized in Painting and did MFA in Graphics from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh.

University, Mukesh too has done his MFA from Kurukshetra University and Mahesh Dhiman, apart from painting, Mahesh also has good knowledge of interior design, photography, mural and graphics.
