Guv inaugurates blood bank in Bhuma Niketan Hospital

As an obdervance of 34th Sanyas Diwas of founder of Bhuma Niketan Hospital, Swami Achyutanand Teerth , Governor Baby Rani Maurya inaugurated blood bank in the hospital on Tuesday. She also released a souvenir of the nursing college on the occasion. Extending her wishes to the the ascetic founder, Maurya said," Opening of blood bank is just in time since Kumbh Mela is around the corner which is attended by millions of people and blood bank is the need of the hour."

 She said people must be made aware to come forward voluntarily to donate blood. Blood donation could save precious human life and there was no substitute available for this life fluid. Addressing the people the Governor said that State of Uttarakhand is hit by natural calamities every now and then and Haridwar being a pilgrimage city is often visited by pilgrims from across the State and the country. 

Opening of blood bank was an important initiative undertaken by the Bhuma Niketan Hospital. She said the nurses who were getting training in the hospital would be serving the society after completion of their courses.

Swami Achyutanand Teerth said that through the hospital medical facilities were being given to patients from remote places in the State. The ascetic also expressed hope that the way Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home minister Amit Shah had taken the decision of removal of article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.
