Haryana: 22 IPS probationers called on DGP

A group of 22 Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers called on Haryana Director General of Police, Manoj Yadava at Police Headquarters in Panchkula on Tuesday.

Interacting with the young Police officers, the DGP gave them important tips on policing and public service and added that they would get ample opportunities in the field to deliver the people, providing justice to the needy and poor.

He asked them to adopt professional police practices to ensure better delivery of justice. During the one-and-half hour long interaction with them, the DGP shared his experiences on various aspects of policing in field.

He also exhorted them to perform with zeal, dedication and devotion for ensuring better law and order as well as safety and security of public, especially the women and children in their respective places of posting. Apart from this, welfare efforts made by the police personnel should also be rewarded and highlighted, he said.

Earlier Inspector General of Police, Crime Against Women, Charu Bali gave a detailed presentation to the probationers about the major initiatives of Haryana Police with regard to the prevention and elimination of Crime Against women and children in the state.

Superintendents of Police, Sumer Pratap Singh and Abhishek Garg also gave impressive presentations on Status of Policing in India Report-2018 and Prevention of Drug Menace respectively.

Notably, 22 IPS probationers including 5 of Royal Bhutan Service are on an educational and cultural tour of India from Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad.
