Haryana CEO issues directions to various depts.

Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Rajeev Ranjan on Tuesday directed the district electoral officers in the State to monitor all distilleries and boilers established in their districts concerned and also check them from time to time.

Ranjan was presiding over meeting with District Electoral Officers, officers of District Administrations and Superintendents of Police, through video conferencing, here.

He said during checking, it should also be ensured that  CCTV cameras are installed there and these are working properly. If there is movement of any suspicious vehicles in any distillery then its complaint or information can be given through cVigil app. Apart from this, strict vigil should be kept on vehicles bearing similar registration numbers, he added.

Ranjan directed all district electoral officers to accelerate the pace of surrendering licensed weapons. Apart from this, strict vigil should be kept on functions to be organized on the occasion of Holi, he said.

He said any person can report incidents of use of power or money during model code of conduct on the toll free numbers 1800-180-4815.

Ranjan directed the district electoral officers of Gurugram and Panchkula to take action for getting made votes of VIP persons in their areas.

He also asked all the officers to check the barricades installed at borders of districts from time to time.

The chief electoral officer said that during elections, all parties should be given equal chance of publicity and promotion.

IAS officer, Shekhar Vidyarthi has been appointed nodal officer to ensure compliance of model code of conduct.

Therefore, all officers should get in touch with him for future references, he added.

The booth level officers, who have not uploaded vote forms, should get them uploaded at the earliest so that people could exercise their right to vote without any inconvenience, he further directed.
