Haryana DPR to organise photography competition

Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Haryana, will organise a Photography competition on the theme of International Gita Mahotsav 2019 being organised in Kurukshetra. The participants can send their photographs by December 12.

An official spokesman on Saturday said that a photography competition will be organized on the theme of  International Gita Mahotsav  being organised in Kurukshetra, in which the photographs of art and craft, people doing shopping at the festival, cultural programs, religious programs, exhibitions, temples, crowd scenes, evening scenes, evening aarti, the pictures of sun rising and setting, the soulful pictures of the religious surroundings of the program have been included. 

He said that a prize of Rs 21 thousand will be given to the  first  winner of the competition, while, three prizes of Rs 11-11 thousand each will be given to the second winner, five prizes of Rs 5100 each will be given to the third winner and ten prizes of Rs 1100 each will be given as consolation prize.

All professional photographers can participate in this competition except the officers and employees of the Information, Public Relations and Languages Department and of the Samvad Society.

Participants will have to send only the photographs of the International Gita Mahotsav being celebrated in Kurukshetra. A participant would not send more than three photographs on a particular subject.

The spokesman said that there should be no watermark above any photograph which will be sent for the competition and the participant will have to mention their name, address, mobile number and subject with a sketch pen and marker on the backside of the photographs.

The photograph should be signed by the participant and the size of the photo should be 12 x 15. The participants will also send the CD of the photograph in JPG format through e-mail to diprfield@gmail.com. All entries, in a prescribed proforma can be sent to the office of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, SCO No 200-201, Sector 15C, Chandigarh by 12 pm on December 12.
