The recruitment test for the selection of 500 posts of Assistant Section officers (ASOs) in Odisha Secretariat to be conducted by Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) will be held on January 20 as scheduled earlier. The confusions over the scheduled examination were over on Friday when the Orissa High Court refused to interfere in the examination process at this stage.
Several petitions were filed in the High Court seeking judicial interventions to change the date of examination as the scheduled date was clashing with some other recruitment examinations. A railway recruitment examination and a bank clerical recruitment examination are also scheduled to be held on January 20 for which the Odia aspirants were seeking a change in the date of the ASO exam.
But a Division Bench comprising Chief Justice K S Jhaveri and Justice KR Mohapatra said they are not inclined to interfere in the examination process at this stage when all preparations, for the examination to be held after two days, are over. Massive arrangements have been done for the Sunday’s examination as over two lakh job aspirants are going to appear the recruitment test.
