The GeriCaRe (Geriatric Care and Research organisation) organised its annual seminar on Healthy Ageing here on August 10.
It was a public education meeting involving general population increasing awareness about health and other related areas relevant to old age. Many eminent doctors delivered talks and answered queries from the attendees.

The GeriCaRe supported the attendees with a health screening and cardiovascular risk assessment. It also distributed health check-up cards and a book on ‘Healthy Ageing’.
Nrusigha Charan Sahoo, editor of ‘Ame Odia’ compilations, received ‘Panini Samman’ for lifetime contribution towards cultural and social education of the population. An art book by Sabita Manjari Dash was inaugurated. Harish Chandra Kar, president GeriCaRe and Gayadhar Panigrahi thanked everyone for their support.
