With the arrest of three persons, the sleuths of Delhi Police Special cell claimed to have recovered 10 kg of heroin which was peddled through Naxal area in Jharkhand.
The trio accused were identified as, Jai Chand Saxena (31) a resident of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh (UP), Sonu Goswami (26) and Shyam (25) both resident of Shahjahanpur, UP.
According to Manishi Chandra, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), the market value of the seized contraband is approximately Rs 30 crore.
"The contraband was being trafficked in a Hyundai Verna car purchased for the purpose from Jharkhand. The trio were arrested from Sector-11 area of Rohini," said the DCP.
"The main supplier is suspected to be operating from Naxal affected areas of Jharkhand," DCP said adding that efforts are underway to nab him.
