The little actors spread the charm of their talent on stage by performing a wonderful Jatak story. Inspired from a Jatal Tale Ruru Mrig ki Katha, a Hindi play Swarn Mrig was staged at KITE Studio on Sunday.

Written and directed by Nitish Dubey, the play was performed by the young participants of summer theatre workshop.

The story is about a golden deer. In one forest, there was a beautiful deer named Ruru, and all the animals in the forest loved him very much. Ruru Deer was very kind and was about to help everyone. One day, the king of the state was returning to the state after conquering a war, and in the evening he decided to rest in the forest. He went on the hunt to give a gift to animals to the queen, where the king of the forest, Singharaj attacked him, then the Golden Mother saved the lives of the king and carried them to a safer place.

The king was very pleased with the golden deer's greatness and he again promised to not hunt animals in the forest.

The queen only dreams of the golden deer. One day she asks the king for a promise. The King promises to the queen. Then the queen asks the golden deer from the king. King knew her stubbornness, therefore he tries to convince the queen that golden deer is only in books, not in reality. But the queen does not listen to the king, in reverse, she counts the consequences of not fulfilling her promise and goes on a hunger strike. King gets disturbed with her stubbornness and does not understand what to do.

But, the king realises the greed queen had. He confronts her and the queen realises her mistake that greed will be miserable because greed is bad.

Only then does the king enter with all the animals from the forest, the queen apologizes to all of them.

The play was beautifully performed as the little artists impressed the audience with their confident acting  skills.
