Holi revellers in the capital city will be under the watchful eye of the city police who will take stern action against trouble makers and two wheelers, carrying two pillion riders.
Additional superintendent of police (City) Prafull Thakur said that around 80 police teams would take rounds of the city during Holi in order to avert any untoward incident.
The capital city has been divided in certain sectors. Commandants, ASPs and gazetted officials would be deployed in order to check the nuisance during the festival, the official said.
As per the instructions of the district administration masks would be ban and in order to prevent festive revellers from being masked, police are already seizing them from the shops, he added.
There would be two patrolling teams under each police station of the city to accompany the station house in-charges during vigil and bike patrolling would also be done.
Barricading would be done at certain check points and 112 vehicles would be patrolling the city for emergency help, the police officer said.
