On a busy Thursday, property taxpayers faced problems in submitting tax due to the absence of the officials in the MCD office near Vidhan Sabha in Chakshahnagar. Nearly 25-30 people gathered around the office and later expressed opposition to decision of the MCD when it was learnt that the staff of the office had been shifted to another office.
As the MCD has opened four new zonal offices in the city, the tax office of the MCD office in Chakshahnagar has been moved to Mothrowala. Hence, the personnel earlier assigned to this office were not present in the office, resulting in inconvenience to the property taxpayers.
Adding further in this secretary of Municipal Corporation employees committee, Satendra Singh said, “The assigned employees were not present in the office which is why tax collection on Thursday was under problem which created a major inconvenience to the people who came to Chakshahnagar office. We have decided to talk to the mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’ to take appropriate action in this.”
