Himachal Governor Bandaru Dattatraya on Tuesday presided over the meeting of Himachal Pradesh Skill Development Corporation and allied departments at Raj Bhawan to get first-hand information about various ongoing schemes and works being implemented for skill development in the state.
Dattatraya said that efforts should be made to take maximum benefit from various centrally sponsored schemes and said that he was ready to give any kind of support in central assistance. He asked to submit a report in this regard so that it could be submitted to Central Government.He stressed on making computer education effective at the primary level and introducing new vocational training. He said that such courses should be started on the demand of industries and training should be made in reputed institutions of the country.Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN) Rohan Thakur gave the power-point presentation and briefed about the overall status of the activities being implemented by the Nigam.
