Ahead of the State Assembly polls due to be held later this year, Haryana Government has begun the recruitment process on 6,400 posts of male constable (general duty), female constable (general duty) and sub-inspector (male) in Police Department.
“Haryana Staff Selection Commission has invited online applications from candidates for direct recruitment of these 6,400 posts in Police Department. For these posts, candidates can submit their applications online from June 12 to June 26 through Commissions’ website . The last date for submission of fees for these posts is June 28,” said an official spokesman.
He said that out of the total advertised posts, 5,000 posts are of male constable (general duty). Of these, 1,800 posts are for general, 900 are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC), 700 for Backward Classes (BC) A, 400 for (BC)B, 500 for Economically Weaker Sections, 350 for Ex-servicemen (ESM) general, 100 for ESM (SC), 100 for ESM (BC)A and 150 for ESM (BC)B.
There are 1,000 posts of female constables (general duty). Similarly, applications have been invited for 400 posts of sub-inspector (male), the spokesman added.
He said that the age of candidates for the post of male constable or female constable should be between 18 and 25 years while the age of candidates for the post of sub-inspector (male) in general category should be between 21 and 27 years.
