The Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) has made a commendable effort to provide furniture for 22 Government schools in Udham Singh Nagar district. The State’s school education secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram said this on the occasion of Teachers’ Day after the HUDCO chairman and managing director Medithi Ravi Kanth approved Rs 39.99 lakh grant as part of the corporation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to provide furniture for 2222 students in 22 government schools of Udham Singh Nagar district. Sundaram presented the grant approval letter to the district education officer. The HUDCO regional head Harimohan Bhatnagar said that the corporation undertakes such tasks from time to time to contribute its bit for social works. Senior officials of HUDCO were also present on the occasion.
