State Capital recorded significant dip in day temperature at 18.8 degree Celsius which was 7.6 degree Celsius below the normal temperature on Sunday.
Day temperatures have recorded significant dip across the state in the past two days while night temperature have changed little.
Harsh cold weather conditions across the state with mercury dipping significantly after rainfall at several places in the past two days.
Rewa, Shahdol, Jabalpur and Sagar divisions and Betul, Hoshangabad, Raisen and Vidisha districts. Warning of shallow to dense fog conditions is issued by Met department for Sagar, Rewa, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Gwalior, Chambal divisions and Betul, Hoshangabad, Raisen and Vidisha.
Thunder activities and thunder showers would be witnessed Rewa, Shahdol, Jabalpur and Sagar divisions. Chambal division recorded significant decrease in the night temperature. Lowest night temperature was recorded at Singrauli at 9 cm.
Few regions of Rewa, Shahdol, Jabalpur and Hoshangabad divisions recorded rainfall in the past 24 hours. In the past 24 hours good rainfall was witnessed Singrauli recorded 3 cm, Kevrali, Amarwada, Seoni 2 cm, Dindori, Kareli, Tendukheda 1 cm.
In the day bright sunshine was witnessed which provided little relief. The weather conditions would turn cold in the next 24 hours told Met department.
Met official said that the night temperature is likely to dip further 2-3 degree Celsius in the next 2 days after the clear weather conditions would prevail. According to the forecast state capital is likely to witness day temperature at 20 degree Celsius while night temperature would be recorded around 13 degree Celsius.
