Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and nationalistic fervour at Doon Cambridge School.
After flag hoisting, the Principal of the school, H K, addressed the gathering. She reminded the students and the teachers of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and said that everyone should take a pledge to serve the motherland with heart, body and soul to bring glory to it. She added that discipline and sacrifice are the two assets of life without this nothing can be achieved.
The toppers of board examination from the school Mukesh Badoni and Surya Pratap Singh Rathore were felicitated on the occasion. The function came to an end with national anthem and distribution of sweets.
