IAS Officers’ Wives Association will plant saplings with students in Government Naveen Higher Secondary School at Arera Colony. President of the association Nandini Mohanty along with the members visited the site on Thursday to make Bhopal greener.
Prior to planting saplings, the association will choose a group of four students who will take care of the plants that are already there in the premises. This will bring awareness among students.
The school garden will be allotted for a group named Prahar, Praveer, Umang and Ullas and the students of each group will take care of allotted places. There will also be a board which will mention the properties of the plant along with the names of every plant. Mohanty said that the children who will do excellent work at the end of the year will also be given awards.
On this occasion, Secretary of IOWA Udita Shrivastav, Joint Secretary Geeta Narhari, Treasurer Ruchi Shrivastava, Executive Member including Anita Das and Hina Bose were also present. Bhopal Commissioner Kalpana Srivastava was also present on this occasion.
