Identified 1 of 3 gunmen who killed youth with million followers on TikTok: Police

A day after 28-year-old Mohit Mor, social media celebrity was shot dead by three unidentified gunmen in Delhi's Najafgarh area, the Delhi Police on Thursday claimed to have identified one of the three assailants. 

According to Anto Alphonse, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Dwarka district, the gunmen were captured on CCTV camera, leaving the scene of the crime.

"Two of the attackers' faces were concealed with helmets, while one of them could clearly be seen in the CCTV footage. One of the assailants is identified and police have initiated a manhunt to nab the accused," said the DCP.

"Police team is investigating the death will all angles, including personal enmity. Mohit is not involved in any criminal case. There is no trace of any big gang rivalry surfaced so far during the investigation," said the DCP. On Tuesday, Mor, was at a photocopy shop in Najafgarh where he had come to visit a friend at around 5 pm, when he was murdered.

"He was sitting on a sofa at the shop, when three unidentified men, who were on a bike, entered the shop and pumped five bullets into him. Around13 bullets were fired at him," said a senior police official.

Mohit Mor, a gym trainer and fitness enthusiast, had half a million followers on popular video-sharing app TikTok and would frequently upload fitness videos on his TikTok and Instagram profiles.

According to police, Mohit had become popular in his locality for his TikTok videos. Originally hailing from Bahadurgarh in Haryana, he worked as a gym trainer in Najafgarh. In his Tik Tok videos, Mohit touched on subjects such as communal harmony, loss of parents and being a good 'Samaritan'.
