It took more than six hours by Shahjehanbad police to rescue an 80-year-old wife of former IG Jail and her sister by breaking 25 locks from a house in Koh-e-Fiza where the two were held captive by two domestic help on Thursday; the two were held captive for the past two months.

The two sisters identified as Razia Sultan and her sister Rana Sultan were rescued who were held captive.

The issue highlighted after their brother Rafi lodged complaint with the police stating that he was not allowed to meet his sisters as they have been held captive by two domestic help identified as Rukmani and Laeek.

The victims alleged that after Khalid and his family left Rukmani and Laeek never provided food on time and restricted anyone to meet them.

In the initial investigation when the domestic help were quizzed they revealed that they were instructed by Khalid and his wife before leaving to USA.

Police said that Khalid and his wife are still in USA and have been issued notice to visit Bhopal for further action.

After the rescue of women they have accompanied to their brother’s house who would take care of them.

During the investigation police found that the former late IG Jail Rashid Khan after the death of his first wife married Razia Sultan who was a school teacher.

After her retirement she was living with Rashid’s son Khalid from his first marriage. Few months ago when Khalid along with the family left the house he instructed domestic help for keeping the two captive which has been confessed by the two domestic help. More details would be revealed after Khalid’s return.
