Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya started the Ek Kadam Swachhata Ki Ore campaign on October 02, 2014; this programme has been popular among the visitors towards cleanliness.
P Sankar Rao (Program Coordinator, SBA) said that IGRMS has provided a creative and collaborative platform for cleaning from this programme, we provide information about the cleanliness efforts to the visitors and citizens who coming to the museum. For achievement the 100 hours per year we motivate the audience and museum personnel every Wednesday, two hours (from 4 pm to 6 pm) for Shramdaan.
Thus comes 52 Wednesdays throughout the year and a 104 hours leave easily for Shramdaan. The aim of this campaign is to encourage people to take some hours out of their daily activities and undertake cleanliness work in India. Rao further said that regarding the cleanliness, connecting the members of local communities for the greater publicity and Ensure successful implementation of the campaign in nearby places, clean and neat also public places can also attract more visitors to visit regularly particularly place like museum.
The purpose of these entire programs is to create awareness by more and more people to connecting these campaigns, so that the dream of Gandhi's clean India can come true.
