The second alumni meet of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bhubaneswar was held in its campus here from April 12 to 14 marking 10 years of IIT Bhubaneswar’s inception in which alumni ranging across various batches from across the country participated.
The alumni diaspora in the US and the UK also connected over video conference to participate in the 3-day celebration started with inauguration of IIT BBS Director Prof RV Raja Kumar in presence of Commander VK Jaitly, Alumni Affairs Dean Swarup Kumar Mohapatra and Alumni Association President Lipsa Bharati.
Kumar said, “We at IIT BBS are keen that we provide all of our past students a platform to stay connected amongst themselves and also stay committed to the institute and students across different batches including the present students. We are also proud of the achievements of our alumni.”
Mohapatra said the institute hosts regular Ask Your Alumni webinar sessions for students. An entire alumni online platform for alumni-students-faculty collaboration has been set up by the Alumni Association for seamless connects, he added.
During the three-day programme, interactions of alumni and students, open house Ask Your Alumni in the US and UK sessions, Ask Your Alumni Live, panel discussions with IIT BBS entrepreneur alumni and others were held.
Alumnus Rapido co-founder Sanka Aravind, Wa2cook co-founder Karthikeyan, TorrDroid founder Pratik Pattnaik, Vasitars’ founder Tushar Gautam and Celllark founder Ashwini Pandey were present.
