Illegal marriage gardens create sound pollution, traffic jams

Various illegal gardens are operating in Mhow cantonment board area which not only creating sound pollution but also cause regular traffic jam in the city as according to cantonment board sources none of the marriage garden has been given any permission to run marriage garden.

Most of the places where the marriage garden are operating are defense land or defense bungalows but the influential people are using this defense land and defense bungalows as marriage garden.

Theses marriage garden have no permission from pollution board and fire brigade and even they are not paying any commercial tax to the cantonment board.

The State Government charge diversion tax on marriage garden every year but as these marriage gardens are running on defense land they don’t give any tax to cantonment board or state government.

Chopda Vatika near railway station mhow, Hariom Ki Bagichi, Uttam marriage garden, Sai Nath marriage garden near Mohan talkies Mhow, Champa Wala Bagicha mall road, Paal garden near railway station Mhow are the major marriage gardens where the marriage functions are taking place regularly and they have also constructed room to give on rent in their marriage gardens.

During the marriage the long procession of marriage blocks the major roads of Mhow and also the people coming to these marriage gardens park their vehicles on the road which creates a traffic jam.

According to government rules, a marriage garden should have 30 percent of the space of their land for parking proper permission of pollution control board and fire brigade NOC as well proper sewerage treatment plant.
