An illegal wine factory was busted within limits of Dhanwar police station area in Giridih district by local police and excise department.
The factory was being run inside a wine shop in an underground area near Badhdih village under Danwar police station, said SP Surendra KumarJha.
According to reports the Danwar police and Excise Department jointly, unearthed an illegal wine factory at Bandhdih village area located in Danwar in Giridih, said Rajiv Kumar SDPO, here on Thursday.
Police officials are concentrating more on the areas for conducting raids. After being tipped off that illegal sale of local made liquors are in practice rampantly in those area .
On the directive of SP Surendra KumarJha, SDPO Rajiv Kumar, and Excise superintendent Awdhesh Singh and the Danwar police recovered huge amount of illicit liquor amounting Rs 30 lakh including sprit, stickers of branded liquor company and others items from factory ,police sources said.
The police team raided the factory where the brew was being manufacturing and seized several equipment including the sachet –making machine and the cutting machine .One person identified as Sunil Sahu who having running this factory has been arrested at the site,added police .
