Lecture on Financial Awareness

The Regional Coordinator of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Institute, Priti Bandhu alongwith Counsellor Vineeta Malhotra today gave lecture on Fincial Management and several other subjects like investment, marketing, banking awareness, mutual funds, corporate finance, taxation, industrial demand etc at the Commerce and Management Department of Sarla Birla University. Students of BA, B Com and MBA were all ears during the lecture. Head of Department of Commerce and Management department, Professor Rahul Vats and Dr Puja Mishra thanked the guests for enlightening lecture. Dr. Vijay Kumar Singh, Registrar of SBU, said that in the present time, people are unaware of the fundamental knowledge of financial management despite the fact that at the present time.

Youth run over by train

A 20-year-old youth from Pannak was was run over by a train near Bokaro Thermal on Friday afternoon. The police have identified the deceased as Kauleshwar Vishwakarma who was suffering from mental disorder. “At 3 pm on Friday, he was walking near the railway track and was run over by a goods train. He was killed on the spot,” said a police official. The police have kept his body at the mortuary of a hospital and informed his family members. “We are investigating the case to check if it was a suicide or an accident,” an official said.
