CM unveils Umesh Gupta’s book

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das launched Umesh Gupta’s book ‘Jharkhand Rajya Mein Janjatiya Vikas’ on Thursday. The CM praised the book. Gupta also submitted a memorandum to the Minister, urging him to form a University Service Commission in the State, and requesting for appointment of assistant professors. BJP leader Sanjay Singh was also present on the occasion.

Yoga training begins in HEC

Ranchi: A fortnight-long yoga training session, organised by HEC Ranchi, was started in Jagannathnagar Club Sector-3 hall on Thursday. Experienced yoga trainer from PatanjaliYogpeeth Committee Ram Dev Prasad Gupta trained the officials, employees and contract labours of HEC during the session. The fortnight-long programme will start every day at 7 AM from 6 June to 20 June.

DAV Kapil Dev shines in NEET

Ranchi: 10 students from DAV Kapil Dev Public School have secured a commendable rank in the NEET results announced on Wednesday. Prakash Mantri got All India Rank 319 by scoring 666 out of 720 marks.Gaurav Kumar, Neel Ranjan, KajalOraon, Virendra Kumar, Sanya, Vikas Kumar, and Himanshu Kumar also cleared the exam. Principal M.K. Sinha congratulated the achievers and said that they have proved that the city has all resources required for clearingcompetitive examinations.

New bookshop opens in Lalpur

Ranchi:Vageshwari Book and Stationary Shop was inaugurated by BJP State Vice-President Pradeep Verma and BJP leader Ajay Rai at City Market, Lalpur on Thursday.Verma wished a bright future for the store, commenting that the availability of school and college books will be very useful for students. Store manager Kamleshwar Thakur said that the store has all kinds of stationary at reasonable rates, and that home delivery will also be started soon.

SPEAR meets Arjun Munda

Ranchi:Representative committee of Society for Protection and Enforcement of Adivasi Rights (SPEAR) met with newly appointed Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda on Thursday. They congratulated the minister on his appoitment as a cabinet minister, and urged him to consider the tribal concerns of the state and the nation, with focus on Forest Rights Act (2006) and other issues.

Stanza begins operations

Ranchi: Student housing brand - Stanza Living has begun full-swing operations in Hyderabad, Chennai, Coimbatore, Indore, Baroda and Dehradun - as part of its pan-India expansion plans. With this, the company has reached a national inventory of 22,000 beds across ten cities, growing more than 150x in 24 months. The company has also clocked INR 20 crore revenue for FY18-19.

As part of its growth strategy, Stanza Living has been focusing on expanding network, strengthening its technology platforms and increasing team strength across cities.
