Teacher’s day at Lions Club of Ranchi City

Lions Club of Ranchi City today celebrated Teacher’s Day at Middle School Nagra Toli. The three teachers of the school Pramila Bala, Sushma Kerketta and Reena Rani Ekka were given felicitated by President Rinku Banerjee, who gave bouquet and gifts to them. The students presented a cultural programme and threw light on the life of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Swati Rastogi, Renu Thakur and Sushma Trivedi were present on the occasion and four chairs and biscuits, toffees and fruits were distributed for 70 students.

Programme held at Kairali School

A programme on teachers’ day was organised at Kairali School on Thursday. The programme began with the teachers and students singing the school song. Congratulating the teachers on the occasion, Principal Jacob CJ said that the contribution of teachers is commendable for a developed society. They selflessly provide education to millions of youth nurturing them to lead the country and world. He also shared memories of his journey with the teachers. Kushagrah and Shreyasi asked the teachers witty questions and gave prizes. Under the guidance of dance teacher Kim Meshram, students of class VI to VIII presented a dance based on the theme of cleanliness. All students and teachers were present on the occasion.

Delhi Public School organises special prog

A special programme was organised at Delhi Public School for the teachers and school staff on teachers’ day. Great scholar and academic philosopher Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan born on this day was honoured. Students organised various games and activities for the teachers who participated with great fervor. Principal Ram Singh thanked all the teachers for their selfless work for the betterment of students. “A teacher’s role in a child’s life is as important as a parent. A teacher is like a candle, it consumes itself to light the way for others,” said Singh.

Taurian World School celebrates Teacher’s day

Teachers’ day celebrations were held at Taurian Worrld School on Thursday. In one programme students acted like teachers while the teachers behaved like students and were made to learn in a classroom. Students also organised fun games, dramas, songs and dances for their mentors. The whole school was immersed in an atmosphere of gaiety.  The principal also gave a motivational speech on the occasion.

Teacher’s day held at Cambrian Public School

Teachers’ day was celebrated at Cambrian Public School on Thursday. Cambrian Group of Schools Chairman Pancham Singh was the chief guest. He said that education is the backbone of a nation and teachers play an important role in making a strong foundation. “Teachers should not just follow the syllabus but also teach rituals, discipline and love for the nation to the students,” he said. Principal Neeta Pandey said that teachers should understand their responsibility and contribute to nation building. Students presented a short play on ‘Gurudev Maheshwar’. Ankit Singhdev presented his views on the importance of teachers. Music teachers Satish Mishra and Monica Munda sang a song. Anandmai Singh, Sunita Bhatia and others were present on the occasion.

Programmes in Vidya Vikas Public School

VVPS students presented colourful programmes on the occasion of teachers’ day on Thursday. Students presented a greeting card to the principal, teachers and staff. Principal Rajan Varghese and headmistress Dr Pratyusha Biswaas offered flowers to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan's photo. Vargese said that the relation of students and teachers should be of respect. “Not just teachers but every person who teaches us something is a guru,” he said. Students Sejal Chandel Shri spoke about the achievements of Dr Radhakrishnan. Students from class Vi to XII presented dance, poems, speech on the occasion.

Teacher’s day at Central University, J’khand

Many programmes were organised by the students of various departments on techers’ day at Central University of Jharkhand. Addressing the gathering Vice Chancellor Nnad Kumar Yadav said that there is no greater contribution than that of a teacher in giving the right direction to the society. “Teachers have a major role in taking the universities to greater heights. Conducting the convocation ceremony is a very big goal of the university in which everyone’s corporation is expected,” he said. Registrar Dr Hari Kumar, DSW Dr Manoj Kumar, Librarian SK Pandey and others were present on the occasion.

Sarla Birla Public School holds teacher’s day

Teachers’ day was celebrated with enormous gusto and gaiety at SBPS, Ranchi in order to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan who was a scholar and above all, a Teacher. The students of junior wing made cards for their teachers; recited self- composed poems and enjoyed activities with the teachers. The students of senior wing performed a scintillating cultural show to acknowledge and recognise the hard work put in by the teachers towards their development. The cultural show incorporated songs, dance and drama. The various programmmes ‘Divine Dancers’, ’Main Teacher Banna Chahti Hun’, ‘Swing Squad’, ‘Dance Maniax’, ‘Anonymous Kalakar’ and an exceptional MIME Act ‘There was a Class' were highly appreciated.  After the Cultural programme, the students enacted as the pupil teachers. They went to the classes and handled the class.
