Ajay Dubey passes away

Congress leader Ajay Dubey, who was son of veteran Congress leader Chandra Shekhar Dubey died during treatment at Medica Hospital here on Monday. In the 2014 Assembly elections, Ajay Dubey had contested from the Vishrampur assembly seat on Congress ticket and finished third position. Ajay Dubey also wanted to contest from the same seat in this Assembly election, but the Congress declared his father's name as the candidate, in 2019 election.  Ajay was very tense about this. After a brain haemorrhage, he was admitted to Medica Hospital, Ranchi where he died.

RRD felicitates Madhumita

The Ranchi Railway Division on Monday felicitated Madhumita, an employee of the division, who bagged a gold and a silver medal in the All India Railway Archery Competition at Chittaranjan recently. DRM Neeraj Ambastha congratulated her and wished her luck for future. Sr DEM cum Sports officer Sumit Sinha, Sr DOM Neeraj Kumar, Sersa Secretary Prashant Mukherjee, Madhumita’s coach Prakash Ram were also present on the occasion.

Career Counseling at SBPS

A career counselling session was organised at SBPS for the students of Std. IX and XI. The session aimed at making the children aware of the multiple career options available to them. The resource person reiterated the importance of knowing one’s potential and subject of interest before making the final decision. The students were also made cautious about the common mistakes made by the students while making the career choice. The importance of various aptitude tests was also highlighted during the counseling session. Compendium of courses after +2 by CBSE was also discussed to help students while scouting for the right choice of course for pursuing higher education. The session was altogether informative and enriching for the students.

Talk on health awareness at SCS

As a part of International School Activity, a session on ‘Let’s talk Health’ was organised in the junior wing of Surendranath Centenary School, Ranchi on November 8. Dr Manoj Kumar Bakshi, Former Registrar RIMS, Consultant, Pediatrician and Neurologist shared his knowledge and experience on maintaining health and caring about hygiene. He motivated the students of standard III- IV to see, hear and learn and spread awareness in school, home and locality. Principal Samita Singh said that such programmes help in the development and growth of children because healthy minds exist in a healthy body.

DAV Principal at NSTC 2019

Principal of DAV School Hazaribagh Ashok Kumar participated in the India International Science Festival 2019 National Science Teacher’s Congress (NSTC) held at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre on November 7 and November 8. Kumar said that the event was an eye opener. “The sessions gave hands on exposure through presentations and demonstrations on new teaching methodology or pedagogy for the 21st century generation. I was extremely fortunate to meet eminent scientists and scholars like Harshbandhanji, Minister for Science, Dr Shekhar C Mande Secretary DSIR and Director General, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Dr C Malla Reddy, Prof IISER Kolkata and others.”

Health check-up camp held

Under the banner of Rotary Patna Greater and Sai Health Care Wellness Center, a free health medical health check-up camp was organized at the Sai Health Care Wellness Center at Boring Canal Road. In this camp, hundreds of patients were treated from every corner of Bihar. First time in Bihar, bone and vein related diseases were treated using foreign modern technology-matrix and robotic treatment. On this occasion, Dr. Rajeev Kumar Singh, Director, Sai Health Care Wellness Center, said that first time in Patna people have been cured using this technique. He said that this technique would prove to be a boon for those who were unable to spend millions of rupees in knee transplant. In Physiotherapy, by treating the matrix and robotic treatment, the diseases of the people are quickly diagnosed and cured.
