NHM inks MoU for affordable dialysis

National Health Mission’s State Director Dr. Shailesh Kumar Chourasia on Wednesday signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with two private companies –one based out of Kolkata and other from New Delhi—for providing dialysis facility to patients from Below Poverty Line (BPL) category. As per the MoU, Kolkata-based ISKON Sanjeevani Private Limited will provide dialysis facility to such patients in 16 districts here. The other company, DCDC Health Private Limited, will provide the facility to patients in the remaining eight districts.

Train for Educational Tour flagged off

Under the Jharkhand Chief Minister Educational Tour Scheme, a special train departed from Hatia Railway Station for Delhi on September 4. The train has 18 coaches with 900 students and 52 teachers from 24 districts of Jharkhand travelling. After Delhi the train will further go to Jaipur. The students will visit the Red Fort, India Gate, Qatab Minar and other monuments in Delhi where as Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and other places in Jaipur. The train will return to Hatia on September 9. In all the coaches’ food, security guards, coach attendants and a medical team is available. Director of Jharkhand Education Project Umashankar Singh, Jharkhand State In charge Quality Education Dr Abhinav, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Avinash, Yuvraj Minj, Yogesh Kumar and others from IRCTC flagged off the train.

De-worming day held at DAV Kapil Dev

On the occasion of De worming day single-dose albendazole drugs was distributed to around 2500 students at DAV Kapil Dev on Wednesday. On the occasion, school principal Manoj Kumar Sinha administered drugs to students and also informed them about the benefits of the drug. He said that students are largely benefitted with such events. He also stress on the needs of creating awareness about such events.

CBI distributes wheel chair

Central Bank of India (CBI), Regional Manager and Jharkhand Ajay Kumar Singh provided an electric wheel chair to the meritorious physically disabled student of IIM, Ranchi under the CSR in the college to facilitate his day to day work. Further, Singh said that since 1911 our bank has been a pioneer in economic upliftment, educational uplift and social uplift of the weaker sections of the country. He said that most of the students studying at Ranchi IIM have been provided loans by the Central Bank and are still committed to building the future of the students.

Symposium at BIT, Mesra

 A symposium was organized by Literary Society of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi Wednesday. It provided a stage to amplify the writer and poet within the students. They were also given suggestions to improve the presentation of their literary works. The preliminary round was organized online where students were supposed to mail their written write-ups to the club. Out of  over 100 entries, only 23 were selected for the performance round. The performers performed their pieces in either English or Hindi. The students were asked to present their write-ups before of a panel of judges within a time limit of five minutes.The eminent judges were the fourth year students Subhendu Karmakar, Ayush Harsh, Shivam Kumar, Pranjal Rai, Aishanee Pattnaik and Sarthak Ladhani.

Campaign against single use plastic use

The Urban Development and Housing Department is to launch campaign against single-use plastic.  The department with an attempt to create awareness in this connection is going to organize plastic free event and based on the performance of various civic bodies across the State will be awarded too. In this connection, State Urban Development Authority director has written letters to all civic bodies. The letter contains, message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling against creating awareness on single use plastic. The letter also contain pledge to make India single use plastic free by 2022.

Teacher’s Day celebration

Students of class Prep at DPS, Ranchi performed an activity to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great teacher, Dr. S. RadhaKrishnan and honour the unparalleled contribution of their teachers. The occasion was graced by a short skit in which they dressed up as teachers and students. This was followed by a lovely group dance and a poem in English to express their gratitude and reflecting their love for their teachers.

OPS observes NDD

As many as 3426 students of Nursery to Std. 12 of Oxford Public School, Ranchi took deworming tablets Albendazole on National Deworming Day. On the occasion, Principal Suraj Sharma started the programme at the school and appreciated the effort of the Government to ensure good health among children through such programmes. The Principal further added the harms of the worms in the stomach and the benefits of deworming tablet. This will lead to good health resulting good attendance and performance at the school as well.

NDD observed at DPS

Delhi Public School, Ranchi celebrated the day by giving the Deworming medicines to the students from class Nursery to XII. Around 4200 students were given the medicines under the program. The students who were absent today would be given the medicine on September 11. On the occasion, Principal Ram Singh addressed the students regarding the importance of Deworming as it rids them of worms which allow them to better absorb nutrients, combating malnutrition and symptoms like illness and stunted development.
