AAXISS to hold ‘Reconnect’
Alumni Association of Xavier Institute of Social Service (AAXISS), Ranchi will organise its Alumni meet - Reconnect, on September 21 at its campus from 5 PM onwards. This get-together will provide a platform upon which senior alumni working in Public sector undertaking, Central Govt, State Govt, Pvt Sector and others self-employed will act as a resource centre for the students of XISS. The AAXISS Meet will take place for the second time in Ranchi. The main organizers of the event are Jasbir Singh Khurana, Alok Gupta, Abhishek Victor, Himalay and others. The event would start off by welcoming the alumni, followed by cultural performances, a DJ night and dinner.

The third day valedictory session commenced with the “Eminent Talk” presided by Prof. (Dr.) M.K. Singh, Head & Dean, Dept. of Commerce & Management VBU. Offering his respect to Sarala Birla University he spoke about “Art of Success.” He focused upon self awareness & urged the students to think about themselves. He stressed about building ones character & career being the ultimate objective of life. Highlighting the importance of “Time & Stress Management” he stated that importance of proper education, Sankar, association, unity and recognition of person. The function continued with the list of dignitaries including Vice Chancellor Central University, Jharkhand Prof. (Dr.) Nand Kumar Yadav, “Indu” were facilitated. The guest & students were enthralled by the welcome dance group.
Orientation programme at DPS
DPS, Ranchi hosted an Orientation Programme for Principals of Lead Collaborator Schools on Thursday organized by CBSE Centre of Excellence. The eminent guests from CBSE were: Jagdish Barman- RO, A L Hilal Ahmad- JS Training CBSE and Dr Akhilesh Kumar, Head/Incharge CBSE-Centre of Excellence Patna. The event was attended by the Principals of around 80 CBSE schools of Jharkhand. The teachers of DPS, Ranchi presented an exemplary dance performance. The programme was organized with the motive of proper understanding and implementation of Hubs of Learning.
ICFAI’s social outreach programme
School Children of Simalia Village were distributed School Uniforms by ICFAI University, Jharkhand, as a part of Social Outreach Service, by the University here on Thursday. These children have been studying in classes V to VIII in Government Schools and their parents could not afford to buy school uniforms. Prof. O R S Rao, Vice-Chancellor of the University said, “Our University has been helping the School Children from the Simalia village for the last two years, by way of conducting remedial classes in the evening. When we came to know that some parents could not buy school uniforms for their children, we decided to provide the same. Besides, we are helping the school students in personality development like imparting communication skills and cultural activities. During the last Teachers’ Day function at our University, a dance program was performed by these students”.
Mahindra delivers its range of SCVs
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd celebrated the imminent arrival of the festive season by delivering 400 SCVs in the states of Bihar & Jharkhand on a single day. The fleet of 400 SCVs included the Alfa (Load and Passenger versions), the Jeeto Load and Supro. This is the first time that the company has delivered such a large number of vehicles in one go.
