DPS students win Gold

Delhi Public School, Ranchi students gave stupendous performance in the CBSE East Zone Chess Championship 2019 which was organised by Sharda Global School Ranchi. Starting with U-14 (Girls), Aditi Raj, Sweta Prava Bisoyi, Vaanya Maini, and Aditi Thakur won Gold medal in this category and have been selected for Nationals. In the U-17 (Girls), Shruti Shreya, Simoni Singh, Sucharita Chakraborty, and Dhriti Barnwal also won Gold medal and got selected for the national level.

SBPS shines in Chess Championship

SBPS students have performed excellently in the CBSE East Zone Chess Championship 2019. Students participated with great enthusiasm and showed their focus, ability to strategize and think ahead through their moves in outstanding ways.Their ability to make strategic openings,choose appropriate tactics and visualise endgames was highly appreciative. In the Under-14 boys category Aryaman Vikkram Verma,Tirth Shresth, Ansh Kumar and Rishu Raj bagged the 1st position and received gold medals. In the Under-11 girls category, Krishna Tulsi, Shreeya Gaikwad, AradhayaShresth and Navya Raj secured the 1st runner up prize and received silver medals.Moreover Aryaman Vikkram Verma,Tirth Shresth, Krishna Tulsi and Shreeya Gaikwad were awarded with the 1st prize in board prize category.

Global Education Fair

A Global Education Fair 2019 was organized by Blue Sky- a Premier Study Abroad Consultancy in association with DPS Ranchi on Wednesday. Around 25-30 Foreign universities were a part of the event at the Vivekananda Auditorium of the school. The Chief Guest for the event was Gopal Pathak, Vice-Chancellor of Jharkhand Technical University. Top Universities from different countries were a part of the workshop namely University of Waterloo-Canada, Wilfrid Laurier University- Canada, Trent University-Canada, University of Saskatchwan-Canada, Memorial University-Canada, Aakadla University-Canada and many others.

National Sports concludes at DAV

The concluding ceremony of the two- day National Sports Cluster Level for judo, yoga, chess, badminton and table tennis was held at DAV Hazaribagh on Wednesday. Chief Guest Ramesh Behra, Zonal Manager, Bank of Inida Hazaribagh felicitated the teams. In badminton and yoga DAV Hazaribagh was the winner where as in table tennis DAV Rajrappa won the first position. Behra said that students need not worry about winning or losing and what matters is active participation. Guest of Honour Roshan Kumar DFO encouraged the students to maintain consistency. School Principal Ashok Kumar congratulated the participants for their performance.

Amity University holds seminar

Amity University of Jharkhand, Amity Institute of Biotechnology organized a one day national seminar on Wednesday which was on traditional and future aspects. The Chief Guest of this program was Assistant Professor, Vanasthali Vidyapeeth Rajasthan, Supriyo Basak and Assistant Professor Central University of Jharkhand, Pallavi Sharma. At the beginning of the seminar Vice Chancellor of Amethi University, Raman Kumar Jha while addressing the children said that biotechnology challenges is very interesting field, if this area is used properly then it will bring big change in society.
