SBI donates furniture to Senior Citizen

Bhopal: SBI Ladies Club donated furniture to Aasara Senior Citizen Home, Shahjahanabad Bhopal. This project is being run by Gandhi Bhawan Trust, Bhopal wherein 90 old age persons are residing. On the occasion, SBI Ladies Club distributed nutritious food to inmates. Veenus Arora, President SBI Ladies Club, Bhopal Circle, handed over the furniture to the office bearers of the institution. Also present on the occasion were Smt. Sanchita Sinha, Vice President and Deeksha Bansal, Secretary, SBI Ladies Club along with other members.

SHarma encourages cricket players

Bhopal: Minister for Public Relation PC Sharma reached Old Campion School Ground today and boosted morale of cricket players. He gave a trophy to the winner team, Media Eleven. Mayor Eleven lifted runner up trophy. Sharma honored Vaibhav Gupta with Best bowler trophy. Similarly, Manoj Chourasia and Izhar Khan were honoured with the Best Batsman and Man of the Match trophy respectively.

Minister performs Saraswati Pooja

Bhopal: Minister for Public Relations PC Sharma with his wife performed Saraswati Pooja with rituals at his new allotted house B-4, Char Imli, Bhopal. Members of the family, Public Representative Ishwar Singh Chouhan and Corporator Yogendra Singh Chouhan ‘Guddu’ were also present on the occasion.

Min extends wishes on mass marriage event

Bhopal: Minister for Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Sachin Yadav blessed newly-wed couples by attending several mass marriage programmes in Khargone district. He also presented household items to the couples. On the occasion of Vasant Panchmi, 786 marriages were solemnized in many villages of the district during the mass marriage programmes under the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah/ Nikah Yojana. Minister Yadav said that a decision has been taken by the state government that marriages of daughters should not be obstructed due to the financial crunch. An amount of Rs. 48 thousand will be transferred in the bank account of each daughter. He extended good wishes to the parents of the newly-wed couples. Moreover, he also extended good wishes to the newly-wed couples for their happy married life. Yadav attended the mass marriage programme of Gurjar Samaj in Khamkeda, Yadav Samaj in Baraslay, Bharud Dhangar Samaj in Bhagwanpura village and Kshatriya Kushwaha Samaj in Badgaon. MLA Kedar Davar and Presidents of communities were present on the occasion.

Sharma participates in Shobha Yatra

Bhopal: Minister for Religious Trusts and Endowments, Public Relations, Law and Legislative Affairs, Science and Technology PC Sharma participated in Shobha Yatra of Sai Baba on Sunday. He took blessings after performing pooja. The Shobha Yatra started from Kotra Sultanabad traversed through Kamla Nagar and reached Kotra again. Ishwar Singh Chouhan, Rajesh Sahibani, Corporator Yogendra Singh Chouhan, Pradeep Saxena, Former Corporator Praveen Saxena, Himanshu Dhakad, Amit Sharma, Sanjeev Saxena and Nikesh Chouhan also took part in shobha yatra.

Opp stages demonstration over poor law, order

Bhopal: The opposition BJP staged a demonstration here Sunday alleging that the law and order situation has deteriorated in Madhya Pradesh after the Congress came to power. BJP workers submitted a memorandum to the Governor after staging the protest at Roshanpura square. "The law and order situation has been deteriorating since the Congress government took over," Bhopal district BJP president and former MLA Surendra Nath Singh said. The BJP government had successfully established a rule of law in the last 15 years but now criminals were running amok with a rise in murders, chain-snatching, extortion, robberies and crimes against women, he alleged. The Congress responded to the protest by claiming that it was mostly BJP workers who were found to be involved in crimes recently. "After losing power, they have become desperate and are committing crimes," said Bhopal District Congress vice-president Yogendra Singh Chouhan.

PM to kick-start LS drive with rallies

Indore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick-start BJP's Lok Sabha campaign in Madhya Pradesh with rallies on February 15 and 16. State BJP chief Rakesh Singh said Modi would address a public meeting at Hoshangabad on February 15 and at Dhar on February 16. "The BJP will start its campaign in the state for coming Lok Sabha polls with these two rallies," he said, though the elections are yet to be announced. Congress chief Rahul Gandhi had addressed a farmers' gathering in Bhopal Friday. The BJP lost power in Madhya Pradesh to the Congress after 15 years in a closely contested Assembly election last November. There are 29 Lok Sabha seats in the state. In 2014, the BJP had won 27 seats while the Congress managed to win only two. The Congress won by-election to the Ratlam Lok Sabha seat in 2015, increasing its tally by one.
