Canara Bank consultation held

Under the leadership of Circle Head Subodh Kumar the first stage of the bottom-up consultation process designed to generate ideas and review performance of banks and their alignment with national priorities, was conducted at the Regional Level on August 17 and 18 by Canara Bank, Circle office, Ranchi involving all 143 branches and all 03 Regional Offices within the circle’s jurisdiction.  This was a first of its kind consultation where the branches were themselves asked to review their performance, deliberate on the issues before the banking sector and indicate on future strategy and the way forward.  The meet focused on the ways and means to increase credit to various sectors of the economy, enhance use of technology to bring about innovation and enable big data analytics, and make banking citizen-centric as well as more responsive to the needs and aspirations of senior citizens, farmers, small industrialists, entrepreneurs, youth, students and women.

UCO Bank campaign

State- owned UCO Bank organised a campaign for generation of ideas and consultation till branch level at its zonal office in Ranchi on August 17 and 18. The primary objective of the meeting was to align banking with national priorities, stimulating ideas and inculcating a sense of involvement among bankers down to the branch level. This is the first of the three state consultative process as directed by the Department of Financial Services. The second stage, which is State level will be held on August 22 and 23 and the third stage will be a national level consultation. Apart from deputy general manager from head office Ravi Shankar Narayan, other officers present in the programme were Gautam Patra, zonal head, Alok and Shwet Prakash Kachhap, both chief managers.

SBI organises meeting

Aimed to generate ideas and reviewing the performance of banks and completing the first phase of the consultation process designed to combine them with national priorities, as directed by Department of Financial Services (DFS), Government of India, State Bank of India, Ranchi Regional Office organised a two-day meeting which concluded on Sunday. The branch heads of the Bank shared their valuable views with an action plan keeping in mind the role of the bank in the concept of all-round development of the nation.

PNB organises meeting

Punjab National Bank (PNB) held a two-day strategic discussion programme following instruction of Department of Financial Services (DFS), Government of India which concluded on Sunday. The Bank held the meeting the State Capital for its Brach Managers of all branches falls in Jharkhand to gather suggestions to accelerate its key policies. Joint Secretary DFS, Madnesh Kumar Mishra visited the State Capital to inform the bank officials and branch managers about importance of the programme. PNB Chief General Manager Shatish Kumar Chawla motivated all the branch managers to accelerate distribution of Education Loan, Mudra Loan, and Farmers Welfare Schemes and to accelerate other Social interests banking facilities and services during the meeting.
