NUSRL gets new VC

Prof (Dr) Kesava Rao Vurrakula presently adjunct Professor at National Law University Cuttack has been offered the post of Vice Chancellor, NUSRL Ranchi. He is likely to join new assignment on March 9. Prof Rao is B.Com, L.L.B. (Gold Medalist), M.L.( Gold Medalist), Ph.D. in Law ( Gold medalist and Best Researcher). Born in 1953, Prof Rao is a renowned academician. He has taught in Andhra University, National Law University, Patna, National Law University, Bangalore and National Law University, Cuttack. He has also worked as Vice Chancellor (In-charge) National Law University Vishakhapatnam and as Registrar at National Law University Patna.

Workshop at BIT Mesra

The one week workshop on emerging techniques in mechanical engineering and its applications started at department of mechanical engineering of BIT Mesra entered third day. On the third day of the workshop, Dr. Kaushal A Desai, head of the department, mechanical engineering, IIT Jodhpur gave a lecture on Rapid Prototyping and product development", where he focused on the applications of rapid prototyping which can be used to meet various demands in eradicating problematic situations of mankind. Dr. Desai also presented a case study on "Medical Applications of Rapid Prototyping" where he shared his experience of working in collaboration with AIIMS Jodhpur and IIT Jodhpur. He presented his study on "Design of Neck Chamber device for Evaluation of Baroreflex Sensitivity".

Akhtar appointed AMU court member

Shahid Akhtar, vice president of National Urdu Language Development Council has been appointed a court member of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Akhtar appointment has been made by President Ramnath Kovind who is visitor of AMU. Indresh Kumar of Muslim Rashtriya Manch which is affiliated to the RSS has welcomed the appointment of Akhtar as court member of AMU.

2 cyber criminals arrested

Giridih Cyber police on Thursday busted an inter-state racket involved in different cyber criminal activities in other states and Jharkhand and its nearby areas and arrested two persons. The prompt intervention of Cyber Dy SP police resulted in the arrest of two of the gang members from Jodasimar village of Ahilyapur in Giridih here on Thursday afternoon  identified as Suraj Mandal and Uma Shankar Mandal. During interrogation, Suraj Mandal accepted his involvement in a number of cases related to cyber crime and use to call several customers as bank officials and ask their pin number in other state like Telangana and Jharkhand if they failed to disclose their pin number and posing as a bank manager he would be closed their bank account. Umari Shankar Mandal used to provide the information of bank account and ATM and pin numbers to other men of his gang for easy transfer in his account.
