Hitherto this pilot coke oven was being revamped by the original British Supplier. This year a conscious decision was taken by RDCIS management to revamp it with all in house resources and skill sets. The entire bricks were manufactured in the laboratory at RDCIS with refractory materials from SAIL, Refractory Unit (SRU).
