Run for Swachhata at CMPDI
A programme “Run for Swachhata” was organised by HRD/CSR department of CMPDI, Ranchi with the students of Birsa Uccha Vidhyalaya, Damside, Kanke Road, Ranchi on Friday.The rally started from Birsa Uccha Vidhyalaya to Rock Garden to local market outside CMPDIL campus and finally CMPDIL campus. During the run, awareness was created through posters, banners and slogans on Swachhata. After the run; the students gathered at Swarnrekha Hall, STC building, CMPDIL HQ for discussion & extempore competition on the subject of importance of hygiene & cleanliness. During the programme, GM (HRD/CSR); D. Basu and Alok Kumar motivated the students to keep their environment clean and include family, friends and locals in the mission of making the citizens aware on cleanliness.
Assam team visits Jharkhand
A team of 21 officers from Panchayat and Rural Development Department of Assam Government is on a trip to Jharkhand to observe and study the Sakhi Mandals formed in the State under Din Dayal Antyoday Yojana. The team will also explore the various steps taken by Jharkhand Government to empower these women financially. The aim of this three day visit is to strengthen the livelihood mission of Assam on the lines of Jharkhand.The team visit the various projects run by Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) in Namkom and Angara for the same. Dr. Rosy barua from the Assam team appreciated the efforts of women self help groups and livelihood mission.
Lithotripsy in Ranchi soon
National Health Mission (NHM), Jharkhand, on Wednesday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Arya Charitable Trust for providing the facility of Lithotripsy in Jharkhand. The MoU was signed by NHM Director Dr. Shailesh Kumar Chourasia and Arya Charitable Trust’s representative Dr. MK Senapati. Lithotripsy is a procedure that uses ultrasound shock waves to break kidney stones in small particles that can be released by the body without surgery.
DRM distributes Laptops
South Eastern Railway (SER), Ranchi Division Railway Manager (DRM), Neeraj Ambastha on Wednesday distributed seven laptops to students who are studying in class 11 and 12. The laptops have been distributed to the children of group D employees of SER through Staff Benefit Fund. The DRM said that the children should use the laptop for their education use.
