Sarla Birla Univ celebrates teacher’s day

Teachers Day was celebrated with fervour at Sarla Birla University on Thursday. Registrar Dr Vijay Kumar Singh, Dean Dr SK Singh, Professor Sanjeev Bajaj and Subani Bara jointly inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. Registrar Dr Vijay Kumar Singh said on the occasion that a teacher is attentive towards new ideas and changes taking place around him. He lives his life for students’ well being rather than that of his won. A teacher needs to evaluate the talent of students and make them ready for empowerment of the nation just like Chankya, he added.

Teacher’s day at ICFAI University Jharkhand

Teachers’ day celebrations were held with great enthusiasm at ICFAI University Jharkhand on Thursday where students organised carious cultural programmes. Tribal dance by the school students of Simalia Village was the highlight of the function. Vice Chancellor Prof ORS Rao said that teachers dedicate their lives to uplift the students and take satisfaction in their success. “Good Teachers instill in the students interest to learn, inspire, hope in them ,ignite imagination and inculcate character so that they can learn and become successful professionals and happy human beings,” added Rao. An online survey among students to find aspects in the best teacher was conducted. Students also voted for their favourite teacher. Teachers were given awards in various categories. Dr Hari Haran, Dr Mridanish Jha and others received awards of recognition.

DAV Hazaribagh hold teacher’s day with zeal

DAV Public School Hazaribagh celebrated teachers’ day with great zeal and enthusiasm. Former vice chairman DAV LMC, Hazaribagh Ranjan Jain and chief guest Deepak Verma IG (Retd) paid a floral tribute to the portrait of Late Dr Radha Krishanan. Khushi performed a solo dance while a Hindi skit on the importance of teachers was also presented by the students. Students also presented mimes and caricatures to entertain the guests. The guests felicitated all the teachers with gifts.
