Snatchers arrested, pistol recovered
A team of Police officers from Sector IV, Bokaro city police station today busted a chain-snatching gang and arrested one of its members. One country-made pistol, one cartridge and three motorcycles were recovered from him, said City Dy SP Gyan Ranjan. The resident of Bokaro steel city, the criminal has been identified as kingpin Md Kamrul, the gang had been on a roll for the last two or three weeks, snatching several gold chains. Bokaro city Dy SP Gyan Ranjan said the officers nabbed the criminal from near LIC more crossing at Sector IV during vehicle checking. He added that after looting the items, they sold them to different jewellers at throwaway prices. The trio has been forwarded to Chas jail.
National Postal Week
The Jharkhand circle of Postal department is celebrating National Postal Week from October 09 to 15, in which several programmes are scheduled to be held.
