DPS students shine in quiz

Bokaro Club Limited organised “Enquest: 2.0-An Open Quiz for School Students of Classes 8th to 12th. Around 73 teams comprising of two students in each team participated in the quiz. Two teams from DPS Ranchi qualified for the finals after competing in the semi-final round successfully. Finally in the battle of brains, enthusiastic quizzer team of Shakeb Arsalan and Srishti Sinha emerged as the winners of the quiz out of the six finalists The team of Aman Ashish and Atharv Shukla stood fifth in the quiz competition.

 

Blood Donation Camp organised

A Blood donation camp under the “Me to We” social service initiative of Aavran Home Plus was organised at Aavran Home Plus on Sunday. The blood donation camp was conducted in the presence and guidance of Dr. Sushil Kumar and Dr Awadhesh Kumar Agarwal of the Indian Red Cross Society. More than 75 people from all sections of the society participated and enthusiastically donated blood. Murarilalji Agarwal and Vishnu Ji Agarwal, directors of Aavaran Home Plus, gave gifts to all blood donors and honored them. BNI members and  A&M Communication  team made special contribution in organising and running the camp.

 

Electoral awareness at DPS

DPS Ranchi organised an event on Monday to create electoral awareness. The Chief Guest for the event was Vinay Kumar Chaubey, Chief Electoral Officer, State of Jharkhand. Ananya Mittal, Deputy Development Officer, Ranchi was the Guest of Honour for the event. Members of Electoral Literacy Club of DPS Ranchi (Classes IX-XI) created electoral awareness by organising a series of competitions in the school recently. The motive behind the events of the Electoral Literacy Club is to make the youth and future voters of the country fully conscious and aware of the democratic elections. The students displayed creative paintings and posters with motivational statements and slogans like “Your vote is your right, your Voice”, “Cast your vote” etc. Chaubey motivated the students to exercise their valuable vote as young learners have the power to make a significant impact in shaping the elections.

 

Voter Awareness Campaign

Workers of Suryansh Bharat Mission trust ran a voters awareness campaign among voters at Morhabadi ground here on Sunday, in which they stressed on voting on December 12. Also, the organisation organised free health check-up camp, where blood pressure, blood sugar and BMI was checked up. Dozens of people took part in the event and praised the initiative.

 

13 cases disposed in SMC

As many as 13 cases were disposed on the first day of the three-day Special Mediation Campaign organised by District Legal Services Authority at mediation centre here on Monday. As many as 36 cases were received from different courts, out of 13 cases were settled and rest are in the final stages of disposal. The SMC was inaugurated by Ranchi Civil court family Judge Nalin Kumar, while AJC Premlata Trpathi, RDBA president Shambhu Agrawal, General Secretary Kundan Prakashan and DLSA Secretary Abhishek Kumar were present on the occasion.

 

Janshatabdi to get LHB rakes

South Eastern Railway (SER), Ranchi Rail Division informed on Monday that the traditional rakes of Janshatabdi Express train number 12365 and 12366 plying between Patna-Ranchi-Patna will be diverted to LHB coach rake, this train will run from Patna to Ranchi with LHB coach first rake and then from Ranchi to Patna. There are two rakes of Janshatabdi Express running between Patna-Ranchi-Patna, out of which one rake is being converted into LHB coach rake. This traditional coach train previously had 18 coaches and now the LHP coaches converted rakes will have a total of 21 coaches, whose details are as follows. There will be 2 coaches of generator vehicle, 16 coaches of second class chair car, 3 coaches of AC chair car.
