HRY CM condoles demise of freedom fighter

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has expressed grief over the sad demise of freedom fighter, Bhaleram who passed away at his native village Hasangarh in district Hisar. He was 99 years old. In a condolence message issued here today, Manohar Lal described Bhaleram as a great freedom fighter who served in the Indian National Army (INA) of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Manohar Lal conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty that the departed soul might rest in peace.

AAP demands Rs 3 crore per yr for MLALAD

Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party on Friday demanded allocation of MLALAD to the MLAs of Punjab on the line of MPLAD allotted to the members of parliament. Senior leader and MLA Sunam, Aman Arora wrote a letter to Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh demanding Rs 3 crore per year for the MLAs for integrated development of constituencies.  In his letter, Arora said the Arvind Kejriwal-led government in Delhi has already raised the existing amount of Rs 4 crore to ten crore per MLA.

 CISF to hold walkathon

Chandigarh: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) of Punjab and Haryana Civil Secretariat here will hold a 10 km Walkathon for its Golden Jubilee year 2018-19 on January 13. A spokesman of CISF said that the golden jubilee year of CISF is being celebrated in different parts of the country.  The Walkathon would be participated by about 150 officers and soldiers of this unit of CISF and various armed security forces.

BJYM invites HM for ‘Town Hall’ program

Chandigarh: BJYM Chandigarh State President Gaurav Goel alongwith National Executive Member Amit Rana and State Secretary Abhinav Sharma met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his residence in New Delhi. On this occasion, Gaurav Goel invited Rajnath Singh for BJYM’s ‘State Town Hall’ program, which the Home Minister accepted and assured to be part of the event.  Chandigarh BJYM leaders also thanked Home Minister on behalf of city residents for getting approved the long pending of housing scheme for U.T. employees from Union Cabinet.

MLAG seeks Medical Injury Compensation Bill

Chandigarh: Medicos Legal Action Group (MLAG) has petitioned the Prime Minister to introduce a Medical Injury Compensation Bill. Dr Neeraj Nagpal, Managing Trustee of the Group said, doctors are the only professionals who have been unjustly and excessively targeted under the Consumer Protection Act. He said, an act meant to recompense consumers for unfair practices of traders was imposed on the medical fraternity by the honourable Supreme Court in 1995.

FSC inaugurates India Food Grid

Chandigarh: Future Supply Chain Solutions (FSC or the Company), country’s  leading third party integrated logistics service provider, will launch India Food Grid, a network of 38 Integrated Food Distribution Centres (IFDC) across the length and breadth of the country that will provide pan-India reach. Food & FMCG Supply Chain is highly inefficient and complex. Based on a comprehensive study, FSC has identified 38 locations across the country, which will be developed into large food and FMCG distribution centres with envisaged investment to the tune of 1,000 crores.

HBSE to conduct exams from March 7

Chandigarh: Haryana Board of School Education, Bhiwani will conduct the Secondary and Senior Secondary (Academic, Re-Appear and Open School) examinations from March 7, 2019. The date-sheet of these examinations has been uploaded on the Boards’ websitewww.bseh.org.in.  A spokesman said that the Secondary (Academic, Re-Appear and Open School) examinations would be conducted from March 8 till March 30 and Senior Secondary (Academic, Re-Appear and Open School) examinations would be conducted from March 7 till April 3. The timing of one session has been fixed for the examination that is from 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm.

9.97 lakh quintal sugar produced in Haryana

Chandigarh: The cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced over 9.97 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 111.96 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season. A spokesman said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has produced a maximum of over 1.86 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 19.99 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak has produced over 1.58 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 18.60 lakh quintals of sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal which has produced over 1.18 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 12.90 lakh quintals of sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal, has produced over 1.07 quintals of sugar.
