Shah’s programme postponed
Addressing a Press conference in Pakur, State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo on Thursday said the programme of Godda on January 19 has been postponed because National President Amit Shah has contracted swine flu. The new date will be announced soon. Shahdev said that the whole party wishes the National President will get well soon.
National Youth Day at ICFAI
A function was arranged at ICFAI University, Jharkhand on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s 156th Birthday celebrations, wherein Swami Bhaveshanandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama was the Chief Guest here on Thursday. A quiz competition, “Pragyan 2019” was conducted, wherein over 150 students from across Jharkhand participated. Welcoming the audience, Prof ORS Rao, Vice-Chancellor of the University said, “ Swami Vivekananda is the Role Model for the Youth all over the world as his life and messages help the Youth to lead a happy life , on a sustainable basis”. “Our University is focused on character building, which is critical for leading a happy life,” Prof Rao added.
SBPS shines in Geeta Chanting Competition
Sarla Birla Public School has received a trophy for outstanding performance in the Chinmaya Geeta Chanting Competition - 2018. Prishni Dey of Grade II B and Akshita of Grade III D secured the 1st runner up and 2nd runner up positions respectively in the Intercity Level Geeta Chanting competition held at JVM Shyamali, Ranchi. The prizes were received by the students on the occasion of Geeta Gyan Yajna on January 16in the presence of the World Head of Chinmaya Mission, HH Swami Swaroopanandaji.
E-GRAS agreement signed
Jharkhand e-Gras Agreement was signed by Avinash Kumar Singh, Joint Secretary, Planning and Finance Department of the government of Jharkhand and Divisional Head of Ranchi Division of Punjab National Bank, Praveen Kumar Jain here on Thursday. Deputy Divisional Manager of Punjab National Bank SK Kukreja, Deputy Secretary of Planning-cum-Finance Department Neeraj Kumar and Chief Manager of PPNB DK Sah, Ajit Verma, Parvesh Sharma were also present. Jharkhand e-Gras is an e-governance initiative of the State government under the Mission Mode Project category and is a part of the integrated financial management system.
Classmate Spell Bee 11th season
Classmate and Radio Mirchi are back with Season 11 of India’s largest spelling competition for school students, Classmate Spell Bee. The spelling extravaganza, promises to deliver a bigger and better experience than it did in its last season. It will travel to more than 1000 schools across 30 cities and will reach out to more than 6,50,000 students from standards 5 to 9.
