Fast Passenger to stop at Jenapur rly stn

Bhubaneswar: A long-felt demand of locals of Jenapur is going to be fulfilled soon as the East Coast Railway has decided for a stoppage of Train No. 58426/58425 Bhubaneswar-Keonjhargarh-Bhubaneswar Fast Passenger at the Jenapur railway station on an experimental basis for a period of six months with effect from January 26. The train will arrive at Jenapur at 933 hours and leave at 934 hours towards Bhubaneswar. In return direction, it will arrive at Jenapur at 1748 hours and leave at 1749 hours towards Kendujhargarh.

Ashtadhatu idol stolen from temple in R’gada 

Rayagada: Miscreants on Thursday night allegedly looted an Ashtadhatu idol of deity from the Manikeswari Temple near Khedapada at Therubali in the district. Along with the two-and-a-half-feet-high ancient statue, the miscreants also stole jewelleries of the goddess from the temple. The Chandili police reached the spot and began investigation.

PEETHA programme held in Jajpur Rd

Jajpur Road: A PEETHA programme was conducted at various places here on Thursday. At the Vyasanagar Stadium, Korai MLA Akask DasNayak, Kalinganagar ADM Santosh Kumar Mishra attended the programme as guests and provided certificates to the presidents and secretaries of the participating SHGs like ‘Anjana’ and ‘Priyadarsini’.
