Three installments of DA to be released in Haryana

Chandigarh: Haryana Government has decided to release three due installments of Dearness Relief (DR) of January 1, 2018, July 1, 2018 and January 1, 2019 to pensioners and family pensioners, who are drawing their respective pension in the 6th Pay structure. Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu said that the Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, has approved a proposal to this effect. He said that DR will be released to pensioners and family pensioners on the pattern of Government of India. According to which, the DR Rate will be enhanced by 3 per cent from 139 per cent to 142 per cent on January 1, 2018, by 6 per cent from 142 per cent to 148 per cent on July 1, 2018 and by 6 per cent from 148 per cent to 154 per cent on January 1, 2019.

Children of deceased govt employees to get more

Chandigarh : Haryana Government has decided to extend the benefit of enhancement of children education allowance from Rs 750 per month to Rs 1,125 per month with effect from May 1, 2018 to eligible children of deceased government employees. Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu said the State Government had issued a scheme to grant Children Education Allowance of Rs 500 per month per child maximum to first two living children to government employees with effect from July 1, 2009. The mentioned rates were revised from Rs 500 per month to Rs 750 per month with effect from January 1, 2014 on the same terms and conditions. It is worth mentioning here that the office of Chief Secretary has also issued clarification that instructions will also be applicable to the deceased government employees, who died while in service.

BSE to support SMEs in raising capital in haryana

Chandigarh: BSE, India’s premier exchange and the world’s fastest Stock Exchange with a speed of six microseconds, on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Haryana’s Industries and Commerce Department to encourage and support MSME in raising capital. The two intend to facilitate SMEs in raising funds through BSE’s dedicated platform for SME’s -BSE SME- where small companies can list and raise productive capital, gain visibility and credibility vis-à-vis large corporates.

6.38 lakh cards issued under Himcare scheme

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar on Thursday said that as many as 6.38 lakh cards have been issued till July 15th in the state including the tribal areas under Himcare scheme. He said that the benefit of this scheme is being given to those families who are not covered under Ayushman Bharat or any other scheme providing medical reimbursement facility. The Minister said that keeping in view the tough topography of the state, government is according top priority to the health sector so that every person sitting up to the remotest areas could avail health facilities near to his home.

Pathankot mines e-auction gets ` 62.18 cr revenue

Chandigarh: Punjab Mining and Geology Department on Thursday conducted an e-auction for Pathankot cluster and received total bids worth ` 62.18 crore. Sainik Food Private Limited successfully won the bid. Earlier, the Department was held the e-auction on July 5, 2019, for two clusters of Ludhiana-Jalandhar and Ferozepur-Fazilka, and earned ` 100.30 crore approximately. Spokesperson said that Punjab has been divided in seven clusters and the auction of four clusters is still pending. “This is the highest-ever earnings for the State Government from the mining business and the Government is expecting to earn over ` 300 crore annually from the mines,” added the spokesperson.

PSPCL makes students aware for saving power

Patiala: To educate students about the importance and saving of electricity in day-to-day life, the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited has organised a paper reading contest on energy conservation  in Rajpura’s Senior Secondary School, Bhairwal, wherein 75 students of Class VIII to XII participated. PSPCL’s Deputy Chief Engineer (demand side management) Dharmpaul delivered the lecture regarding energy saving benefits, and also highlighted the uses of nine watt LED bulbs, 20 watt tube lights, 50 watt BEE five-star rating fans, five-star rating submersible pumps motors etc.

Training course for Dairy Farm Manager

Chandigarh: A four-week training course, to provide self employment avenues to the state’s youth as well as making dairy a profitable venture besides making the youth learn the ropes of this trade to be successful farm managers, would start from August 13. Announcing this, the state Dairy Development Department director Inderjit Singh exhorted the youth to derive maximum benefit from this training course, after which the trainees would be selected following counselling on July 26.
