Adviser to inaugurate Chrysanthemum Show today
Chandigarh: The Adviser to UT Administrator Manoj Kumar Parida will inaugurate the 33rd Chrysanthemum Show on December 6 (Friday) at 11 am in the Terraced Garden, Sector 33, Chandigarh, in the presence of city Mayor Rajesh Kumar, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh, Commissioner KK Yadav, among others.
978 approved Health and Wellness Centres in Hry
Chandigarh: Haryana’s National Health Mission’s director Amneet P Kumar on Thursday said that total approved Health and Wellness Centers (HWC) in the state is 978, in which 519 are Sub-Centers (SC), 370 are rural Primary Health Centers (PHC) and 89 Urban Health Centers (UHC). She said that in Nuh district, 41 sub-centers and 12 primary health centers have been made functional.
‘ICONICA 2020 website launched
Chandigarh: Panjab University Vice-Chancellor Professor Raj Kumar on Thursday launched an interactive website (www.iconica2020.in) for the upcoming International and Interdisciplinary Conference ‘ICONICA 2020’, scheduled to be held on February 12-14, 2020, on the theme of “Next-Gen Paradigms in Healthcare”. Congratulating the team for the conference, the VC urged them to reach out to all sectors including government machinery for participation in the conference.
12th Chrysanthemum exhibition in PU from Dec 10
Chandigarh: Panjab University’s horticulture division is organizing 12th Chrysanthemum Exhibition at Prof RC Paul Rose Garden in the campus from December 10 to 15. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Raj Kumar will inaugurate the exhibition. Prof RC Paul Rose Garden has been given new look this year for the Exhibition. The garden will be adorned with about 150 varieties of Chrysanthemum, including seven new varieties — Sonali, Sapna, Mushtak, Parveen, Mahatma, Dorris, Freshman, and Alfred — which have been procured from places like Calcutta and Solan.
NRI’s treatise on 84 Sikh heritage sites unveiled
Chandigarh: The long-standing passion and curiosity of a US-based dentist Dr Dalvir Singh Pannu brought him all the way to Pakistan to study 84 Sikh heritage sites and shrines to unearth the narratives of Sikh historical and religious places displaced during the India–Pakistan partition of 1947.
