NGO donates masks for traffic police
Bhubaneswar: On the closing day of the 30th Road Safety Week, Sankhadhwani Sadak Suraksha Samiti secretary Prakash Kumar Mohapatra donated masks for city traffic police to protect the cops from street pollution. The need was felt as traffic police personnel use handkerchiefs to cover their faces for the purpose. Commissioner of Police Satyajit Mohanty received the masks with much appreciation and handed them to Traffic ACP Anup Kanungo.
Amulya Das takes charge as Khordha SP
Khordha: Ahead of elections, Amulya Kumar Das has been appointed as the SP of Khordha district. Earlier, he was working as the SP of Gajapati. Das replaced Dipti Ranjan Ray, who has been appointed as Crime Branch SP. Ray is scheduled to retire from service in a month’s time.
