Arjun Munda meets Guv

Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda, held a meeting with Governor at Raj Bhavan on Friday evening. The meeting was held on the issues related to development of tribal communities in Jharkhand as well as in country with respect to their socio-cultural and economic strengthening. The meeting was held keeping in view the ensuing meeting of Governor with President of India as 27th August at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Three day Yoga conference held

With a view to popularise Yoga, Secretary level officer of Government of India and Vice president of Sahaj Yoga, Dinesh Ray on Friday inaugurated three-day conference cum practice programme of Sahaj Yoga at Tana Bhagat stadium of Khelgaon sports complex in the State Capital. This programme is being orgainsed under supervision of Ranchi Sahaj Yoga Kendra.

CPS celebrates Janmashtami

At Cambrian Public School, many programmes were organised on Janmashtami at the end of Sanskrit week on Friday. For students of prep and nursery, a fancy dress competition was organised on the theme ‘Radha-Krishna’. Student Chandan Kumar gave a speech on the teachings of Lord Krishna. Praveen, Manan, Khushi and Apoorva mesmerised the audience with a Sanskrit song while Adityanshu gave a speech on the benefits of studying the language. Chief guest Chairman Pancham Singh said that the Lord Krishna’s messages in the Geeta are the essence of life. Principal Neeta Pandey said that Janmashtami is not a festival but a saga of folk life. She also said that Sanskrit is the most scientific language in the world. Satish Kumar Mishra, Meenakshi Sharma, Sushma Tiwari and others were also present.
