Dental camp by Lions club

Lions Club of Ranchi City today organised a free Dental Treatment Camp at ‘Maa Dental Clinic’, Kadru on Wednesday. Noted dentists Dr Priyanka Mitra and Dr Shivalik Mitra treated 48 patients and gave them necessary suggestions and medicines. As many as 18 patients were called for dental surgery. President Rinku Banerjee, Geeta Ojha, Devyani Roy, Poonambala and Swati rastogi were present on the occasion.

ATVM awareness drive

An awareness drive for ATVM was run by Ranchi Railway Division at Patel Chowk on Wednesday, where passengers were given information about using unreserved rail ticket App on their mobile phones and the benefits related to it. It was told to them that they do can save time and energy by using the App.

‘Ab Meri Baari’ campaign

On International Youth Day (IYD) a group of 150 adolescent girls in six aspiring districts of Jharkhand joined hands for ‘Ab Meri Baari’ campaign. They are conducting social audits in Simdega, Saraikela, Dumka, Gumla, Deoghar and Lohardaga to assess impact of adolescent-focused government schemes. The data generated from these social audits will be analyzed and presented to government officials at district, state and national level, community leaders, peers via open letters, one-on-one meetings, open mic sessions and a bus tour. All these activities are taking place under the phase two of‘Ab Meri Baari’ (AMB) campaign, an adolescent empowerment movement supported by strategic philanthropy organization Dasra. Nivedita Natraj, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Deoghar district in Jharkhand was present on the occasion.

World Entrepreneurs’ Day at ICFAI

On the occasion of World Entrepreneurs’ Day an event was organized at ICFAI University on Wednesday. More than 15 entrepreneurs from Jharkhand, including a number of women entrepreneurs, were invited by the University to share their Entrepreneurship Journeys. Welcoming the audience to the function, Prof. Arvind Kumar, Registrar of ICFAI University Jharkhand said, “An Entrepreneur can change and influence the world around us by providing appropriate products and services.” Giving examples of innovative entrepreneurs across the world, India and Jharkhand, Prof Kumar highlighted that over 22 alumni of the University have become entrepreneurs, which includes 2 students that graduated in 201. “As per the aspiration survey of the students, admitted in 2019, 19 per cent of them want to start their own business on completion of their graduation and our University is committed to help all of them in that regard”, added Prof Kumar.

Session on Cyber Security at BIT

A session on ‘Cyber Security’ was organised for the first-year students of BIT Mesra. The session was conducted by Anuradha, DySP Cyber Crime, Ranchi Cell. She talked about a number of ways in which cyber crimes take place such as UPI Frauds, Screen Sharing Frauds, OTP Frauds, ATM Card Cloning, Fake Paytm numbers, fake customer care numbers, phishing, fake ids and many more. She also talked about being careful while shopping online as there have been cases when people lure customers by selling expensive things online at low prices but the customers don't receive the product after making an online payment. Such cases are frequent in Ranchi. Anuradha also stated that https in a website doesn't always guarantee the security and to be careful while opening links shared with you as fake links contain viruses. As a solution to all these, she told the audience to use 2 steps verification; to check a link for its authenticity before sharing and to be careful of fake websites by doing a top-level domain check.

B4U Bhojpuri on the occasion of this Janmashtami is bringing a special show “Jai Kanhaiya Lal ki” for the devotees of Shree Krishna. This will be telecasted under Bhajan Sagar Show at 5’o clock in the morning. This show will be aired from 21 August to 25 August showing different phases of Shri Krishna’s life, taking from his childhood to his Bhagwan Avtaar in the form of songs and hymns.
