U Sammilani congratulates Naveen
Bhubaneswar: The Utkal Sammilani has congratulated Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for getting a landslide victory in the Assembly elections. Sammilani Mancheswar branch president Dillip Dashsharma said that even if there was a Modi wave across the country, the BJD’s emphatic win in Odisha is only due to Naveen Patnaik’s image. Reacting on the BJP’s ‘120+ mission’, Dashsharma said the BJP’s central leadership was well aware that the party would not at all get so many seats.

Another ICICI mobile ATM for Puri flagged off
Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary AP Padhi flagged off another ICICI Bank mobile ATM for Puri district from the State Secretariat premises on Friday in the presence of the bank’s Zonal Head PR Rout. Padhi said the mobile ATM would ease cash withdrawal for people in remote places particularly, in the cyclone-affected district.
NSD audition for kids held in Pallahara
Pallahara: On behalf of the Union Ministry of Culture, the National School of Drama organised a ‘Children Summer Theater Workshop’ here on May 21. This was the first time in Pallahara and Odisha that such an event was conducted. There were 100 applicants for the workshop and 35 children of 8 to 16 years age had been selected by an audition. Instructors Rama Chandra Sahu and Kaleem Zafar Ansari of NSD, State coordinator Rudramani Patra and local coordinator Bibekanand Biswal were present.
OPGC celebrates AES Safety Day
Jharsuguda: The Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC) celebrated the AES Safety Day with this year’s theme “Smart Safety” at its IB Thermal Power Station premises on Thursday. OPGC Manager (Safety) Sarat Nayak administered the safety oath in both English and Hindi. OPGC Director (Operation) Alok Mukherjee and Executive Director Ron Mc Parland gave the leadership message to the gathering of OPGC officials and contractor employees.
